SSS Studio LLC is a photography studio based in Saint Augustine, Florida, with operations in Asheville, NC. We serve independent clients and companies with photography and videography needs in the Southeast US and internationally. Owned and operated by Scott S. Smith, one of the premier image-makers in the southeast. Scott S. Smith and his team offer photography, video, and design solutions to build brands and tell stories. 

About Scott S. Smith: With over 20 years as a professional photographer, Scott has a long story, so we will try to sum it up quickly. While obtaining a degree in photographic technology from the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies, Smith earned the prestigious Kodak Grant for Documentary Photography, landing his work in the permanent collection at the renowned Southeast Museum of Photography. He then worked as a studio photographer, master darkroom printer, and freelance photographer.

Scott’s attraction to a well-designed layout, shape, form, and composition led him to earn his degree in graphic design from Flagler College, where he later returned to teach. As a faculty professor at Flagler College, Smith taught studio photography practices and techniques to young designers and photographers. Scott's experience as an Art Director at Zag Advertising and freelance designer for some of the top agencies in the southeast was vital to his success as a commercial photographer.  

After working as an art director and designer Smith launched Scott S. Smith Photographic, LLC in 2006, and has enjoyed working on photographic projects with numerous clients ever since. His work has taken him on assignments across the US and abroad, and he enjoys various photography disciplines, including editorial assignments, events, weddings, architecture, interior design projects, and portraiture.

From 2015 to 2020 Scott was a founding partner in Monarch Studio in St. Augustine, Florida. He sold his share of that studio in 2021 to restructure and grow his long-time business Scott S. Smith Photographic, LLC, and changed the name to SSS Studio, LLC.

Since 2021 SSS Studio, LLC has been thriving because of Scott's dedication to his craft and amazing list of clients. He has worked on projects for major brands and corporations including Pepsi, Nutella, Mercedes Benz, Firehouse Subs Foundation, GE, Vystar Credit Union, Blue Rhino, McDonald's, Florida Healthcare Plans, The Home Shopping Network, The Food Network, and Toyota. His wedding photography has taken him to capture events in Europe, South America, and across the United States. Recently his wedding photography was featured in TLC's Four Weddings television series. 

In 2023 Scott took the exciting leap to expand his studio and open a second operation to serve the greater Asheville, NC area in addition to his existing Northeast Florida studio. Now Scott will split his time between Blue Ridge and First Coast clients.
